Compliance and Security
It is natural for people to join and leave an organization. Sometimes people leave the organization temporarily for medical reasons or military deployments. Permanent departures are typically due to retirements or terminations. In both cases native Active Directory tools do not provide functionality to properly secure the user's accounts. To properly suspend and secure AD users and groups, a complex and potentially error prone manual process must be followed. Because native tools lack a 'suspend' process, security and compliance requirements such as SOX 404, HIPPA, and PCI are put at risk. Improperly suspending a user or group can also subject the organization to security breaches, audit failures and potential fines.

AD's disable or delete are NOT ENOUGH!
Deleting users and groups is an unacceptable practice becasue deleted objects are no longer avialalbe for audit and security needs. Disabling a user is risky if multiple additional steps are not take to ensure the account is not re-enabled with unintended consequences. Disabling a group is not provided by Active Directory yet is often considered the #1 missing Active Directory feature.
