ProCryptum is an advanced, yet very easy to use application designed for securing sensitive documents and information intended to be transmitted over email or other insecure network including the internet. It mimics a simple email interface with a plain text editor and an attachments panel. The attachments panel holds files, much like attachments to an email. Both the text and the attachments are stored in a secure, encrypted and compressed format for easy and safe transmission.
The application uses symmetric key cryptography meaning the key used to decrypt the information is the same key that was used to encrypt it. In simpler terms, to decrypt the document, you need the key used to encrypt it. Symmetric key cryptography is very intuitive to a non-technical user.
ProCryptum was designed to be very easy to use, yet it features industry standard encryption algorithms behind the scenes.

The application can be used as an integral part of enterprise wide security policy, whereby all sensitive information is to be transmitted (by email for example) in an encrypted format. To facilitate such a policy, each ProCryptum licence purchased is delivered with 2 activation keys (at no extra cost). One key may be used by the organization itself, and the other can be freely distributed to a third party (e.g. your client).
The application can also be used by small firms and individuals to secure documents (files) and text information for secure storage or secure transmission over email/internet.
